A Mapping. Contours and undulations referring to Thomas's poignant Spring journey in the Quantocks. Poignant because, despite the beauty he richly described and intimately wrote about in the first person, I could not dismiss what I knew would happen to him at Arras, and the contours of a different landscape. My Grandfather was at Ypres at the same time.
Medium: Oiled paper, graphite and collage
Size: 59 x 75 cm framed
Part of the In Pursuit of Spring collection in collaboration with Somerset Art Works (SAW)
