Lockdown summer 01
Created by, Pippa Smith
Pippa studied art and architecture at university and has since divided her time between practicing as an architect, and painting and drawing. Her work always starts with a view sketched from life. From these sketches, she makes paintings and prints. Pippa is particularly interested in mark-making, and how different types of marks can convey emotion. During lockdown the starting point for her work became a stretch of river in Great Elm, her garden and family.
