Marks we have left behind, folk songs and old customs, buried treasure, items hiding in plain sight; I’m intrigued by the stories and history we discover within our surroundings when we look closely, a reward for the inquisitive. My work looks at the hidden things within our structures and landscapes, and how they contribute to a sense of place and interconnectedness. I try to create a dialogue between our past selves, to see what is lost and what still remains in our daily practices, our crafts and our environment.
