Walk With Me 2 by Zara McQueen

I am a full time, self taught artist living and working from my studio in North Dorset. Drawing and painting is part of who I am, it is how I respond to my world. I am driven by mood, memory and intuition. I sketch and paint outside in oil or charcoal - in that sense I am a landscape painter. I return to my studio where I make mixed media pieces guided by memory and feeling. Work gets torn up and reformed. Fragments of self portraits, studies of magpies, sletches lay hidden in the landscape... I have an exhibition at Shaftesbury Arts Centre 19 November - 2 December 2020
